If it’s not obvious by now any reader of the blog can tell that Ellemm is involved in a love affair with British bands, and its been going on for quite some time now. We have blogged about just about every band and singer you can think of. So, there is no surprise why we love the Scanners. The band formed in London, England, back in 2004 and quickly caught the attention of some very important names in the music industry. The Scanner’s caught the attention of names such as: Steve Aoki, Dj Atrak, and gossip blogger Perez Hilton, raved about them. From there their music was showcased in festivals like South by Southwest and also received airtime on television shows like Entourage. With the new decade passing, we’ve got the sophomore album from the band called, “Submarine.” The albums title suites the overall sound of the album. They really dive into different genres and with each track; you get a little something different. The album’s standout tracks include the cheeky album opener, “Jesus Saves,” The retro rock sounds of “Sick Love,” the flavorful “Half A Mind (Dreamer Forever), which sounds like it would belong on either a Killer’s or Rapture record.
